"Our instructor gave clear and precise instructions, checking each student's dough" - Kate

Despite a year of Covid, I managed (during the no-lockdown period) to attend a one day's class in Norwegian baking at Becky's Bakeri in Devises.

All was go from the moment the attendees walked in the door, with an introduction to Norwegian cooking via a table full of waffles, jam and cream, coffee and a selection of Norwegian magazines.

Our day of practical application was crammed full, covering a range of goodies most Norwegian housewives would be proficient in: sunshine buns, apple cake, delectable cookies with a baking space for each one of us - socially distanced of course.

As a real professional, our instructor gave clear and precise instructions, checking each student's dough and seeing all measurements were strictly followed. The smells of such home baking were delicious, never mind the taste.

Overall this was well worth the price, the various tastings even more so. And it was nice to learn more about a neighbouring country.
